The Knoxville Philatelic Society is a stamp collecting club based in Knoxville, Tennessee.

About the club

The society was founded in 1980 under the name ‘The Expo City Stamp Club’, which changed to the Knoxville Stamp Club in 1983. It became known as the Knoxville Philatelic Society in 1994, and has a program which covers all areas of philately.


The society publishes a monthly award-winning newsletter for its members, ‘The Knoxville Philatelic Society News’, which includes articles, features and society news contributed by members along with a free ‘Stamp of the Month’.

Society meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, and include silent auctions along with displays and presentations by members.

It also organizes an annual show, Knoxpex, which features competitive exhibits, dealer tables and live auctions.
