South Africa 1926-27 1d black and carmine, Pretoria typo printing, block of 4, the left vertical pair ERROR IMPERFORATE THREE SIDES, SG31b.
A very fine and fresh mint block with original gum. Insignificant gum wrinkles mentioned for accuracy only as it is a most spectacular quality example of this rare error.
A lovely stamp depicting Dromedaris (Jan van Riebeeck's ship), the arrival of which in the Cape on 6th April 1652 marked the beginning of permanent European settlement in the region.
