A fine mint example with large part original gum.
The Union of South Africa was established in 1910, combining the former British colonies of Cape of Good Hope, Natal, Orange Free State and Transvaal. It was three years later before the first set of definitive stamps of the Union were issued in 1913, inscribed with the name of the new country.
