Harry Houdini signed black and white postcard
- A superb signed postcard from the legendary magician and escapologist Harry Houdini
Harry Houdini (1899 - 1926) was a Hungarian-American magician, escapologist and master of self promotion
Houdini rose to fame in the U.S as a vaudeville artist, before touring across Europe performing a series of increasingly daring escape acts from handcuffs, straightjackets and underwater chambers.
He became one of the world's most famous men during the early 20th century, and later dedicated much of his life to debunking fake spiritualists.
A vintage postcard photograph depicting Houdini seated in a three quarter length pose wearing a formal black suit and white bowtie.
Signed as 'Harry Houdini' in black fountain pen ink across the white lower border.
With some light surface creases, otherwise in very good condition.
