Great Britain 1986 22p Royal Air Force (Lord Tedder and Hawker Typhoon IB) error, SG1337a/b.

A very fine unmounted mint, with full original gum, left hand marginal strip of three with sheet number "125423".

The strip shows a dry print of pale turquoise green which leaves the face value on the first stamp virtually omitted and the Queen's head on the second stamp completely omitted.

The error came from three consecutive sheets on which the stamps in the first vertical row are without the face value and those in the second vertical row the Queen's head.

A scarce, undervalued, and most visual QEII error. Pierron records 30 examples of each error.
