Cover from invercargill to Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, franked by 1864-67 1d pale orange-vermillion, 4d deep rose and 6d red-brown, wmk large star, perf 12 1/2, tied by very fine individual strikes of '21' numeral, with despatched cds at left and arrival cds (NO 18 1866) below. Carried via Panama, with St Thomas (OC 13) and St Johns Newfoundland (NO 12) backstamps, A very rare and desirable three-colour franking with the 4d deep rose, of exhibition quality, and certainly the finest New Zealand cover we have handled for many years.
