A very fine ungummed imperforate block of four essays (Fig 30a) in tyrian red on white unwatermarked card mounted on thick card (88x103mm). Showing "CONFIDENTIAL" and "Essays for colour only." ink manuscript "Tyrian red" below the stamps and "E198" at lower, purple "STAMPING DEPARTMENT/3 JAN.1913." handstamp at the top right.
