A very fine ungummed imperforate block of four essays (Fig 30a) in maroon on white unwatermarked card mounted on thick card (88 x 113mm).
The display card shows "CONFIDENTIAL" and "Essays for Colour only.", ink manuscript "Maroon" below the stamps and "E199" at lower left, purple "STAMPING DEPARTMENT/3 JAN. 1913." handstamp at the top right.
A most attractive and rare King George V philatelic display piece.
