A very fine used example lettered 'HD', neatly cancelled by a Glasgow circular date stamp for 'JA.2.1883'.

A very attractive example with a lovely deep colour.

Only one printing plate was used for the £1 brown lilac.

Accompanied with a 2005 British Philatelic Association (BPA) Certificate of Authenticity.
