Two fine used examples of the Mulready Stationery, both sent from Edinburgh.
The first is addressed to Kirkudbright and cancelled with the standard Edinburgh Maltese Cross in red, backstamped in Edinburgh 'JU.2.1840'.
The second is addressed to London and cancelled by a superb strike of the Edinburgh distinctive Maltese Cross in black, backstamped in Edinburgh and London for 'MY.25 & 27.1844'.
A very attractive pair of envelopes.
Each cover is accompanied by a 2010 British Philatelic Association (BPA) Certificate of Authenticity.
