  • Presented in an attractive 22.5 by 20 inch black wood frame – perfect for display

Gordon Banks (1937-2019) is widely regarded as England’s finest goalkeeper and one of the greatest glove men of all time. A World Cup winner in 1966, arguably his finest moment came at the tournament four years later in Mexico, when he pulled off “the greatest ever save” from a Pele header.

Scotland international goalkeeper Bob Wilson said of Banks: “Here was a guy who set new standards and who was, on and off the field, an absolute legend and a wonderful human being.”

This large 22.5 by 20 inch display features a white 8 by 4 inch goalkeeping glove signed “Gordon Banks” in black felt tip. The glove is displayed beautifully alongside a 13.5 by 9.5 inch photograph of Banks making “the save” from Pele at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.

The small plaque reads:

Gordon Banks

“The Greatest Ever Save”

A superb memento from one of football’s finest goalkeepers, and a member of the hallowed 1966 Word Cup winning XI.
