Good condition piece with all details clear - especially facial features and scales of the angel. With these early angels St. Michael seems to be fully ‘feathered’. With a comprehensive defeat of the Lancaster early in 1471 the Yorkist Edward gained the throne for the second time. With firm rule and finally a stable political situation the output of gold coins got under way. However, only Angels and Half Angels were minted and the issue was not exceptionally large. Thus a rare coin in this good a condition.
