Cyprus 1886 (June) '1/2' on 1/2pi emerald green, watermark CA, type 10 surcharge with 8mm spacing, horizontal strip of 3, the centre stamp with the classic "Small 1 at right' variety, the right-hand stamp with the borderline 'Small 1 at right' (and broken 2), SG29/b.
A fine and fresh strip with original gum and with lovely colour. Folded perforations (causing slight separation between first and second stamps) and the normal with minor gum thin at foot, but an exceptional se-tenant multiple of great rarity.
Provenance: Ex Richardson (RL 6/7/1960, lot 310), when described as 'two with smaller 1'.
