China 1912 'Provisional Neutrality' Postage Dues, SGD176, D179/83

£5,550.00
SKU JP5853

China 1912 (2 Feb) 'Provisional Neutrality' overprinted in Chinese characters Postage Dues SGD176, D179/83.

A fine mint set of 6 issued values of Postage dues to 30c blue with part to large part original gum. The 4c has some shortish perforations at the left and the 10c has one missing perforation at top.

Accompanied with a 1989 Peter Holcombe certificate of authenticity, which mentions 'tiny thinnings' affecting 4c, 10c and 20c. These are trivial gum thins of no consequence and have no material impact on their value.

An extremely rare set of Postage Due stamps and much better quality than normally found.

Stanley Gibbons catalogue value: £7,400.
