5 Collectibles showing their merit as a long term buy and hold investment

Most folks buying collectibles, do it purely for pleasure. They are emotionally connected to the subject matter they collect.

A small number of elite individuals do things a bit differently…

They collect for BOTH pleasure and profit.

These are the professionals.

If you are a professional collector, you may want to take a look at my hot buying tips for today.

5 collectibles which I have picked out based on investment merit.

They are all:

  1. Scarce with only a small number of examples in existence

  2. Even rarer in such fine condition

  3. In areas of the collectibles market which boast a large number of active and passionate collectors

  4. Accompanied with a lifetime money-back guarantee of authenticity and with clear provenance

  5. Showing a long term history of price appreciation (the hard-nosed evidence of investment pedigree)

I don’t think I need to say any more than this. They speak for themselves.

Take a look....

Picasso signed lithograph

Spanish artist (1881-1973), Picasso is considered one of the forefathers of Modern Art. Although more commonly known for his Cubist body of work, in later life Picasso focussed more intensely on the graphic arts. He produced simplified, colourful drawings using basic materials such as crayon and pencil.

We have a high quality colour lithograph of "Clown et acrobat" (1954), printed on Arches paper. Signed "Picasso" in pencil to the lower border and numbered 42 from a limited edition of 75, published by Verve Editions, with their embossed blind stamp.

The print measures 240 x 318mm and is unframed. In excellent condition.

1999 Value: £2,500

2019 Value: £11,000

20-year growth 340% (average annual compound growth rate of 7.7%)
