Yamaha's Ah A May series
Yamaha are known for two completely seperate products: musical instruments and motorbikes. The only thing that they really share in common is the crossed tuning fork logo for both brands. But what happens when the two departments switch jobs for a little while and the musical instrument specialists build a motorbike and vice versa?
That's exactly what Yamaha's Ah A May project does- switches their roles to help make something a bit different. There have been some fascinating outcomes, including this gorgeous motorbike, a sort of drum-sphere as well as a bicycle stand that charges a battery for you. I can't help but feel they are on the verge of some pretty significant breakthroughs here.
The pieces created have are part of an exhibition, which is open to the public.
