Marilyn Monroe exhibition features her own artwork
There's a new Marilyn Monroe exhibition coming to New Jersey, which offers a different perspective on her life and career.
It's called Marilyn: Character Not Image, and it takes place at the Mana Contemporary gallery from September 25 until October 22.
The exhibition includes photographs, her clothes, poems she wrote and her own artwork, including the above sketch 'Lover watching his love sleep', which she drew in the late 1950s.
It shows Monroe's more personal, thoughtful and creative side - she was so much more than just a big-screen sex symbol.
