The Remco Hamburglar doll is a vintage doll depicting the McDonalds company character Hamburglar produced during the 1970s.

Background

The doll was part of a series of figures produced by the American manufacturer Remco during the mid 1970s. They were based on the characters from the popular series of animated McDonalds television adverts that ran from the early 1970s until 1983, when the company lost a lawsuit for copyright infringement against the creators of the children’s series ‘H.R. Pufnstuf’.

Along with Hamburglar, the other toys in the set are:

  • Ronald McDonald
  • Mayor McCheese
  • Grimace
  • Big Mac
  • The Professor
  • Captain Crook

How much is a Remco Hamburglar doll worth?

In good condition with the complete original outfit, the dolls can sell for between $15 and $30 in unboxed condition. MISP (mint, still in packet) examples can be found priced at around $40 - $50.
