Dugan Pulled Loops carnival glass vases are collectible items of carnival glass, produced in the US by the Dugan Glass Company between 1904 and 1931.
Antique or vintage?
Glassware produced more than 100 years ago is classed as “antique” according to the 1930 Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act’s definition.
“Vintage” refers to pieces manufactured within the last 100 years and can include items made as recently as the 1980s.
Pulled loops pattern
The Dugan Pulled loops pattern features several stretched loops. It is similar to Fenton’s Boggy Bayou pattern.

The majority of Dugan Pulled loops vases range in height from nine to 12 inches although shorter versions in amethyst can also be found. Bases range in diameter from 3.25 inches to 4 inches. They are available in the following colours:
- Amethyst with opal tips
- Celeste blue
- Peach opal
- Powder blue
- Sapphire blue

Celeste blue items are the most sought after among collectors and can sell for between $375 and $950.
Peach opal versions are the most common and change hands for between $20 and $65.
