Captain EO returns to EPCOT at Disney World
Michael Jackson fans and 80's nostalgia hunters rejoice-as Captain EO is set to return to the EPCOT Centre at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Captain EO became one of the most popular attractions at EPCOT when it had its debut in 1986. The 17 minute long futuristic film stars Michael Jackson as Captain EO who along with a team of freedom fighters seeks to "bring freedom to countless worlds of despair".
The film was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by George Lucus and cost a whopping $30 Million to make. The attraction closed in 1997 but briefly reopened again in 2010 following the singers death. Now the attraction will take up permanent residence at the centre.
