Gambia 1880-81 4d pale brown, watermark CC (upright), COMB perforations from May 1881 third printing, right marginal horizontal pair with guide dot (R2/4-5), SG16B.

A fine and fresh mint pair with large part original gum. Minor gum tones and right stamp with small thin spot, not detracting from lovely overall appearance.

A very scarce positional multiple of a rare early Gambian stamp issue featuring an embossed portrait of Queen Victoria.
