China 1949 East China-North Anhui People's Republic China regular issues,$50 on $2 deep rose-red and $100 on $2 deep rose-red, handstamped in green at Anqing, SGEC316/17.
Each presented in a fine used block of four by central Hwaining circular date stamps for '19.6.49'. One stamp in each block creased, but remains attractive and fine quality.
Scarce in mint blocks of four of this quality.
The stamp features a map of North Anhui. The name Anhui mean "peaceful beauty" in Chinese.
