Hong Kong 1891 new colours surcharges set of 3 to $1 on 96c, overprinted "SPECIMEN" for Universal Postal Union (UPU) distribution, SG45as/7s.

A very fine mint set with original gum and with brilliant colours. The 50c on 48c has very minor gum bends on reverse which does not detract from what is a very fine quality set.

A rare set as only 400 sets were originally distributed.
