Canada 1938-39 Special Delivery 20c scarlet "Coat of Arms", block of 10(5x2) being the lower two rows of the sheet, showing marginal inscription 'No 1 1046 ' at left and guide arrow at lower right, SGS10.
A brilliant quality unmounted mint block with full original gum.
Scarce and attractive in this format, particularly in such pristine condition.
On March 1, 1939, supplies of the 20c denomination special delivery stamps of 1938 were overprinted and revalued, due to the greater need for 10c denomination special delivery stamps. As such, the 20c stamps are much scarcer than the 10c denomination.
