Sotheby's to auction Joseph Drouhin wine in March
Sotheby's plans to auction wine produced by Joseph Drouhin with an estimated value of $650,000
Sotheby's New York branch will ride the current trend for Burgundy by teaming up with Maison Joseph Drouhin, a French wine maker to auction 1,925 bottles on March 8.
The sale is predicted to gross $650,000 and will feature wines produced by the group across the decades.
Frederic Drouhin, CEO of Joseph Drouhin, told decanter.com, a wine news website: “We’ve seen a development in auction sales for iconic estates, and that’s great, but many of the bottles purchased were bought to be resold. I’m confident that whoever buys these wines will drink them.”
