Acker Merrall and Condit auction achieves strong sales
Acker Merrall and Condit’s November 7 auction in Hong Kong resulted in major sales of Burgundy.
The highlight was undoubtedly a 12-bottle case of 1996 Henri Jayer Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux, which made $82,841.
John Kapon, chairman of the auction house, comments: “What an amazing day! I can’t talk enough about the two star attractions, the cellars of Wilf Jaeger and Château de la Tour.
“With the growing significance of the simulcast markets of Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo, the Asian fine wine market is alive, well and growing, and still spending the most dollars, and we are thrilled to be at its forefront.”
