Taiwanese Whisky crowned the world's best single malt
Those in the know will tell you that Asian whisky has been a growing market over the last few years but that's predominatly been as a result of buyers in China and production in Japan. However it is a single malt from Taiwan that has been crowned the world's finest in this year's World Whisky Awards, according to The Telegraph.
In the past the whisky has won awards such as New Whisky of the year by The Whisky Bible in 2012, as well as receiving a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits awards. Could this be the first step in a huge move towards a greater market for Asian whiskies? Let's hope so if it's as good as they're saying!
