Rare bottle of Billy Connolly whisky from the 1970s
A rare minature bottle of whisky which was originally produced for Billy Connolly's gigs in the 1970s has come up for sale.
The blended Scotch is called Nippy Sweetie and was originally sold during the comedians “Big Yin’s” gigs in Glasgow by ''the lady who also sold the ice creams.'' The whisky was brewed by the Glasgow-based distiller Douglas Laing & Co especially for Connolly and this very bottle is believed to be one of the last in existance. It could go for £200-300 at McTears Auction house today.
