Laphroaig 30 Year Old whisky is a collectible type of Scotch whisky, produced by The Laphroaig Distillery in Scotland.

Laphroaig Distillery

The Laphroaig Distillery was established in 1815 by Alex Johnston and Donald Johnston on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. Donald Johnston died in 1847 after falling into a vat of partially-processed whisky.

The distillery’s name means "the beautiful hollow by the broad bay".

The whisky is produced using American bourbon casks and water from the Kilbride Dam. It is known for its strong flavour.

Laphroaig 30 Year Old whisky

Laphroaig 30 Year Old whisky is a 43% single malt, distilled in 1970, aged for 30 years and bottled in 2000.

It received a double gold medal at the 2005 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
