Ardbeg 1965 whisky is a collectible type of Scotch whisky, produced by The Ardbeg Distillery in Scotland.

Production at the distillery came to a halt in 1981, before reopening in a small way in 1989. Glenmorangie bought the company in 1997 and full scale production resumed in 1998.

Prior to its closure, the distillery was best known for producing whisky used in blends. Since its resumption of full-scale production in 1998, the distillery has become famed for its single malts

Ardbeg 1965 whisky is a 42.1% single malt, distilled in 1965, aged for 39 years and bottled in 2004.

Just 261 bottles were produced.

How much is Ardbeg 1965 whisky worth?

Originally priced at £2,000 upon its release, bottles now sell for around £4,000 through internet dealers.
