Vintage Bugs Bunny Lafayette watches are collectible watches made by Lafayette in the 1970s, depicting cartoon character Bugs Bunny.

According to the 1930 Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act’s definition, “vintage” refers to pieces manufactured within the last 100 years and can include items made as recently as the 1980s.

The watches were manufactured in the 1970s in Neuchâtel, Switzerland for the US-based Lafayette Watch Co, which produced a range of novelty watches, including those associated with American football teams.

The company also produced a range of alarm clocks.

Rare blue-strap examples depicting Bugs Bunny playing baseball were also produced.

The packaging bore the slogan “It’s Bugs Bunny Time”.
