Rare portable Banana shaped record player from the 1970s
Here's something you don't see everyday. A portable 1970's record player that was allegedly inspired by Velvet Underground's famous Andy Warhol designed debut album cover.
The record player is fully working and can play records in any position (even upside down) and has a strap attached so it can be carried around as a handbag. It was recently listed on Etsy for $1,500 but has since sold.
The seller had only managed to track down 2 others in existence-one of which is currently housed at the Banana Museum in California.
The Warhol/Velvet Underground link might seem tenuous to some as there is no mention of either in the advertisement.
