I've been trying to track the pricing on this one. Originally sold for $222,500 by Christies in 1997, it appears to have been sold again in Toronto for £510,000 (sterling) in 2011. I can't find many details on the Toronto sale. Anyone?

A lady called Maureen Rorech Dunke bought them at the Christie's sale. She is described as a 'Florida based entrepreneur' but seems she had financial difficulties and reluctantly had to sell (she left the auction room in tears).

There is a good article about Maureen Roreach Dunke and her dress collection on this website: http://bit.ly/Zreat5

The Toronto sale turned out to be bogus. Yahoo News: "According to the Sunday Telegraph, amid legal dispute and disputes over ownership, the dress never sold at all - nor did nine other gowns, which were once owned by the late princess that were allegedly sold at the same auction for a little over 2 million dollars."
