It arrived late in the 1990's with a low growl and a throw of the devil horns and by the 00's, Nu Metal was everywhere and Fred Durst was the guy to be. How can that not be just plain wrong? Nu Metal is (in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions) a hybrid of hip hop and metal and the style represented that. The style consisted of as many dog chains as possible, impossibly baggy jeans, skate clothing, a buffet of spiked bracelets and if you were a guy, a goatee(very important). Hopefully Nu Metal style will remain where we last saw it, when we grew up. See also: Mini Mosher.
