First Known Baseball cards for sale
According to this seller on ebay, the 1866 E.S. Sterry & Co. trading cards are some of the first acknowledged examples of baseball trading cards.
Now almost 150 years old the incredibly rare cards are selling as a set for $179,000. The cards depict the Unions of Lansingburgh, considered to have been a "good team" of the day, likened to the Black Sox of their time.
