The Milton Bradley Snoopy’s Doghouse game is a vintage board game based on the comic strip character Snoopy.

Background

The game was published by the American company Milton Bradley in 1977, following on from three previous games based on the character.

The first board game based on the Peanuts comic strip in general was the game ‘Peanuts: The Game of Charlie Brown and his Pals’ published by Selchow & Righter in 1959.

The game is relatively simple, and was aimed at younger players from the ages of 4 - 8.

The Milton Bradley Snoopy’s Doghouse game

The game is for 2 – 4 four players, with the aim of building a doghouse for Snoopy. Each player spins the spinner, which indicates different pieces of the doghouse to collect. The first player to complete their house with a floor, front, back, sides and a roof places Snoopy on top and wins the game.

The game contains the following playing components:

  • 1 Spinner
  • 4 Floors
  • 8 Sides
  • 4 Fronts
  • 4 Backs
  • 4 Roofs
  • 1 Snoopy

How much is a Milton Bradley Snoopy’s Doghouse game worth?

As with all Peanuts and Snoopy memorabilia, the game is popular with many collectors. Copies of the game complete with all their playing components can sell for between $20 - $50 on auction sites such as eBay, depending on their condition
