Milton Bradley Goonies board game
The Milton Bradley Goonies board game is a vintage games based on the popular 1985 feature film ‘The Goonies’.
The game is based on the 1985 film of the same name, directed by Richard Donner and produced by Steven Spielberg. The film features the adventures of a group of teenagers that searches for pirate treasure in an effort to save their homes from developers, whilst avoiding booby traps in a series of underground caverns.
The film remains hugely popular today, and has a number of fan clubs and websites devoted to it. Vintage 1980s merchandise relating to the film is now highly collectible, including the Milton Bradley board game released in 1985.
The Milton Bradley Goonies board game
The game is for 2 – 4 players, and is based closely on the plot of the film. Players must move through the caverns, dodging booby traps, solving puzzles and avoiding the Fratellis to find their treasure crystals in the Pirate Ship Cavern. The first player to escape with their crystal is the winner.

Due to the film’s large and enthusiastic fan base, vintage Goonies merchandise is highly sought after. Copies of the board game with all their components (including the poster) can sell for up to $100 on auction sites such as eBay depending on their condition.
