Milton Bradley Batman board game
The Milton Bradley Batman board game is a vintage board game based on the comic book superhero Batman.
The Milton Bradley game was one of the first to be based on the character. It was published in 1966 during the first season of the camp 20th Century Fox television series which ran for three seasons and 120 episodes.
The series opened the character up to a far wider audience than the original comic books, and was one of the most popular U.S television shows of the 1960s.It spawned a wide range of merchandise, with a number of toys, dolls, action figures and model cars produced by companies such as Mattel.
The Milton Bradley Batman Game
The game can be played by 2 – 4 players, with the aim of capturing villains such as the Riddler and the Joker.
Players move around the board until they land on a Batmobile, whereupon they can move it around the central grid on the board capturing villains by landing on their squares. If a number of moves makes the player leave the central grid, they return to the outside track and must move towards the next Batmobile to try again.
The winner of the game is the first player to capture six villains using the Batmobile on the central game grid.

The game is popular with collectors of Batman memorabilia as it’s one of the earliest board games based on the character.
Copies with their original components (instructions, playing pieces, dice and villain tokens) can sell for between $20 and $175 on auction sites such as eBay, depending on their condition.
