The Eldon Bowl-A-Matic was a miniature mechanical 10-pin bowling board game produced in the 1960s by Eldon Industries, Inc.

Background and description

The Eldon Bowl-A-Matic was released in 1962, and won an honourable mention at the Popular Mechanics’ “Toys Of The Year” awards.

It features a miniature plastic and fibre-wood recreation of a ten-pin bowling lane, complete with a bowler and a working pin mechanism. The bowler fired a marble down the lane using a spring-loaded mechanism, and the pin-setter would remove the downed pins, re-set the remaining pins and return to ball to the bowler.

The set came complete with 12 pins, four balls and a number of scoresheets.
