Antique bear lost at airport to sell on December 1
An antique bear that made headline news when it was left in the departures lounge of Bristol Airport in 2012 is to be sold.
The discovery of the 1910 bear sparked a nationwide hunt for its owner - who came forward last year after seeing it mentioned in a magazine.
That man was Robert Baker. "I thought it was lost forever, I was convinced it had been destroyed," he said after being reunited with the bear.
Yet just a year on, Baker is again preparing to part with the animal - but this time for good.
It’s valued at up to £1,000 ($1,520) ahead of the December 1 auction at Special Auction Services in Newbury, UK.
