$45,000 Star Wars memorabilia collection stolen
A Washington based Star Wars memorbailia collector has had his $45,000 collection stolen.
Richard Bates had been collecting Star Wars memorabilia since he was 14 years old and had been away on a buisness trip when the theft happened.
His collection is estimated to be worth around $45,000 and contained many rare unopened mint condition items from the 1970's and 1980's.
Bates believes that the timing of the theft is no coincidence-with the release of the new Star Wars film just months away.
