A chess board made from wood salvaged from the wreak of the Titanic is up for sale. The chess board was made by William Parker whose cable ship the Minia was sent out to recover bodies from the site of the disaster. As well as victims a great deal of wood was salvaged which Parker made several pieces from. This board was originally in the Manitoba Museum of the Titanic and will be selling with Phillip Weiss with a $10,000 - $12,000 estimate.

Never heard of this! Will definitely keep a look out for more things made from the wreckage.
