Old Yankee stadium letters fail to sell at Sothebys
The 13 letters from the old New York Yankees stadium have gone unsold at Sothebys-after being valued at around $300,000.
The letters stand at 10 feet tall and are currently in the possesion of Yankee hall of famer Reggie Jackson, who bought the letters when the stadium was being torn down in 2008.
Jackson even promised to fly out to view the letters at the winning bidders home-but this failed to attract any bidders. The only bid came from a Sothebys emplyee who attempted to kick start the bidding at $260,000.
