Oakland Raiders Collectibles And Memorabilia are items relating to the professional American football team based in Oakland, California.

 

Brief history/biography

The Oakland Raiders first started to play in the AFL in 1960 and then later joined the NFL after the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.

The Raiders changed their name to the Los Angeles Raiders in 1982, however the team was relocated back to Oakland in 1994.

The team colors are black and silver.

The Oakland Raiders won one AFL Championship in 1967, three Super Bowl Championships in 1976, 1980 and 1983, four Conference Championships in 1976, 1980, 1983 and 2002, and 15 Division Championships in 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1983, 1985, 1990, 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Some of the most notable players who once played for the team include Marcus Allen (who played for the team from 1982 to 1992), Dave Casper (who played for the team from 1974 to 1980 and 1984), Howie Long (who played for the team from 1981 to 1993), Mike Haynes (who played for the team from 1983 to 1989), and Gene Upshaw (who played for the team from 1967 to 1981).

GovermentAuction.com in Tehachapi, California sold Randy Gene Moss' Oakland Raiders jersey for $650 in April of 2008.

Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas sold artwork depicting the Philadelphia Eagles and the Oakland Raiders battling for the Super Bowl XV, which was drawn by artist Jack Davis in 1980 and titled "Battle for the Lombardi Trophy" for $1,500 in February of 2009.
