Newcastle United Memorabilia for Charity Auction
A collection of Newcastle United memorabilia that was owned by John Alder, one of the victims of the MH17 tragedy, is to go on show today at Newcastle based auction house Anderson and Garland ahead of its auction for charity.
Alder was a devoted NUFC supporter and had missed just one of Newcastle's games since 1973 and traveled to every away game. Now Alder's family have donated over 200 pieces of memorabilia including match programmes, tickets and books to raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
Mr Alder and his friend Liam Sweeney were among 298 people killed when the Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down over Ukraine last July.
