Moses Malone NBA goggles valued at more than $20,000
A pair of goggles worn by NBA star Moses Malone are expected to sell for more than $20,000 at Goldin Auctions.
The sale will open on October 19 and close on November 14.
Malone wore his distinctive eyewear throughout his career. He reportedly owned only a couple of pairs, making this a particularly desirable piece of basketball history.
The present lot was worn during his 1986-1988 stint with the Washington Bullets.
Auctioneer Ken Goldin acquired the goggles from Malone before he died earlier this year. He said: "The goggles are really an extension of himself, that he wore every game.”
