Minnesota Vikings collectibles and memorabilia are items relating to the professional American football  team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.


Brief history/biography

The Minnesota Vikings joined the NFL in 1960 as an expansion team, and their team colors are purple, gold and white.

The Minnesota Vikings won one NFL Championship in 1969, four Conference Championships in 1969, 1973, 1974 and 1976, and 18 Division Championships in 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1998, 2000, 2008 and 2009.

Some of the most notable players who once played for the Vikings include Warren Moon (who played for the team from 1994 to 1996), Jan Stenerud (from 1984 to 1985), Fran Tarkenton (from 1961 to 1966 and 1972 to 1978), Paul Krause (from 1968 to 1979), Dave Casper (who played for the team in 1983), Randall McDaniel (from 1988 to 1999), Gary Zimmerman (from 1986 to 1992), Adrian Peterson (who has been playing for the Vikings since 2007), Carl Eller (from 1964 to 1978) and Ron Yary (from 1968 to 1981).

Seized Assets Auctioneers in Westlake Village, California sold Adrian Peterson's framed and signed Minnesota Vikings jersey for $650 in May of 2009.


The National Football League sold Daunte Culpepper's signed and game-used Minnesota Vikings helmet for $2,000 in February of 2005.


The Written Word Autographs in Tamworth, New Hampshire sold a letter which was written by Coach Lombardi from the New York Giants responding to an invitation he received from the Minnesota Minute Men asking him to attend the Viking Football Banquet on February 12th, 1966. The letter, which was written in green pencil and not signed, along with its typed carbon copy, were sold for $600 in September of 2010.


Nate D. Sanders in Los Angeles, California sold a Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings football program from October 15th, 1967 which included the signatures of Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr and many others for $653 in June of 2007, and another signed football program for the same football game on October 15th, 1967 for $522 in August of 2007.


Nate D. Sanders in Los Angeles, California sold a Miami Dolphins vs. the Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl VIII ticket from January 13th, 1974 for $680 in August of 2007, and another ticket for the same Super Bowl VIII game for $850 in June of 2007.


Premier Auction Galleries in Chardon, Ohio sold a 1962 "Toes Up" black face Minnesota Vikings Bobblehead for $625 in August of 2009.

Memorabilia that was once owned, signed or used by Adrian Peterson (who played for the team from 2007 to present) is considered to be the most valuable.

Memorabilia which dates back to before the 1980s is considered to be more rare than memorabilia from the 1980s to present.
