Historic four minute mile stopwatch at auction
A historic stopwatch that was used to time Sir Roger Bannister when he became the first man to complete a four minute mile is up for auction.
On the 8th of May 1964, a 25 year old Bannister made history by running a mile in 3 minutes and 59 seconds at the Iffley Road track in Oxford.
The stopwatch is being sold at Sothebys on the 18th of May where it could make between £5,000-£8,000.
