The Denver Broncos were formed in 1960 and their team colors are navy blue, orange and white.

The Denver Broncos have won two Super Bowl Championships in 1997 and 1998, six Conference Championships in 1977, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1997 and 1998, and 11 Division Championships in 1977, 1978, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 2005 and 2011. The Broncos have also appeared in the Playoffs 18 different times.

Some of the most notable players who once played for the team include John Elway (who played for the team from 1983 to 1998), Willie Brown (from 1963 to 1966), Floyd Little (from 1967 to 1975), Jake Plummer (from 2003 to 2006), Rod Smith (from 1994 to 2007), and Frank Tripucka (from 1960 to 1963).

The National Football League sold Jake Plummer's game-used Denver Broncos jersey (which was worn during a game against the New York Jets on November 20th, 2005) for $1,900 in February of 2006, and Rod Smith's game-used Denver Broncos jersey (which he wore during a game against the Ravens on December 11th, 2005) for $1,900 in February of 2006.


The National Football Leagues sold John Elway's signed Denver Broncos helmet for $800 in February of 2006.

Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas sold a 1998 Denver Broncos helmet which was signed by John Elway, Terrell Davis, Ed McCaffrey, Shannon Sharpe, Neil Smith and various other Denver Broncos players for $975 in November of 2011.


The National Football League sold the 2005 AFC Championship kickoff ball which was used during a football game between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers for $2,100 in February of 2006.

Sotheby's in New York sold a 1987 Denver Broncos AFC Championship Ring for $3,000 in December of 2005.

Championship coins

The National Football League sold the official 2005 AFC Championship game coin which was used to help determine the kickoff for a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos on January 22nd, 2006 for $800 in February of 2006.

Memorabilia that was once signed, owned or used by Jake Plummer (who played for the team from 2003 to 2006), John Elway (from 1983 to 1998) and Rod Smith (from 1994 to 2007) is considered to be the most valuable.
