Brief history/biography

The Team was formed in 1995 and was officially named the Baltimore Ravens before the 1996 season.

The team colors are purple, black, gold and white.

The Baltimore Ravens have won two Super Bowl Championships, one in 2000 and most recently in 2012, one Conference Championship in 2000, three Division Championships in 2003, 2006 and 2011, and have also appeared in the Playoffs seven different times (in 2000, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011).

Some of the most notable players who once played for the Baltimore Ravens include Rod Woodson (who played for the team from 1998 to 2001), Shannon Sharpe (from 2000 to 2001), Deion Sanders (from 2004 to 2005), Ray Lewis (since 1996), and Earnest Byner (who played for the team from 1996 to 1997 and coached the team from 1998 to 2003).

Geppi's Memorabilia Road Show in Timonium, Maryland sold one of Deion Sanders' game-used Baltimore Ravens black alternative jersey (circa 2004) which was also signed by Sanders and included a Bible verse in his handwriting for $1,900 in October of 2009, and three of Earnest Byner's jerseys (including his Baltimore Ravens white home jersey and his red Washington Redskins jersey) all of which were signed by Byner for $190 in October of 2005.

Grey Flannel Auctions in Westhampton, New York sold Ray Lewis' game-used 2003 Baltimore Ravens jersey which was customized specifically for Ray Lewis for $2,750 in September of 2006.

Morphy Auctions in Denver, Pennsylvania sold a game-worn and signed Deion Sanders Baltimore Ravens jersey (circa 2004) which also includes a Bible verse is Sanders' handwriting for $450 in June of 2007.

Helmets

Seized Assets Auctioneers in Westlake Village, California sold a team-signed Baltimore Ravens helmet for $325 in November of 2009, and another team-signed Baltimore Ravens helmet for $350 in February of 2011.

Footballs

Universal Rarities, LLC in Corona, California sold a Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl football (circa 2000) which was also signed by 25 different players (some of which include Peter Boulware, Brandon Stokely, James Trapp, Duane Starks, Anthony Mitchell, Chris McCallister, Travis Taylor, Edwin Mulitalo, Ben Coates, Sammy Williams, Frank Wainright, O.J. Brigance and John Hudson) for $170 in December of 2006.

Signs

Rich Penn Auctions in Waterloo, Iowa sold a neon Budweiser beer sign (21"H x 30"W) which also features the Baltimore Ravens' logo for $130 in November of 2011.

Guide for collectors

Memorabilia that was once signed, owned or used by Deion Sanders (who played for the team from 2004 to 2005), Ray Lewis (1996 to present) and Earnest Byner (who played for the team from 1996 to 1997 and also coached the team from 1998 to 2003) is considered to be the most valuable.

Baltimore Ravens memorabilia from 1996 to 1997, or more specially, memorabilia from the Ravens' first NFL season, is considered to be more rare then Baltimore Ravens memorabilia from the 2000s.

Restoration of a Baltimore Ravens jersey, helmet, football, uniform, sign or Championship ring is not recommended.
